Peafowl in cages were Peter Pan / Cracked Claw amenities until the bitter end. Here in 2010, the gentleman fans his tail. Such displays are not as infrequent as people think. These birds spread when they're alarmed. It's the make-yourself-look-big approach to defense. Behind this guy was the peahen and a nest of eggs.
